Job ads fall 0.8% in July: ANZ

The number of jobs ads in July fell for the first time after two months of gains, indicating the labour market is slowing. The labour market has lost momentum, with the number of job ads falling for the first time since April. Job ads on the internet and in newspapers slipped 0.8 per cent in July, after rising just 0.4 per cent in June. However, in the year to July, job ads were up 6.9 per cent, figures from ANZ show.
